About Us

Mission Statement of the Youngstown Free Library:
The Youngstown Free Library is to provide materials and services for community residents' recreational interests and information needs. The library promotes leisure reading, encourages preschoolers' introduction to books, assists elementary and secondary level students in meeting their educational objecties, and emphasizes the pursuit of life-long learning for people of all ages.

Library Services: Computers, Scanner, Fax Service, Copies, Books on CD and Tape, DVD's and Videos, Books for Adults and Children, and Programs for Adults and Children.

Library History: The Youngstown Free Library has served the Village of Youngstown and the Town of Porter since November 1949 when it was organized by the Youngstown Civic Guild...click here for more library history.
